Education 
  • Bachelor's Degree required preferably in Computer Science or Engineering. 
  • Master's Degree or higher degree preferred but not necessary in Computer or Engineering.

Essential
  • Ability to design complex technical solutions.
  • Strong proven experience in a relevant position within the IT Industry
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral, and proven ability in producing documentation for a technical audience.
  • Leadership and organizational skills with the ability to provide technical leadership mentoring
  • Self-starter who possess exceptional attitude and aptitude
  •  Ability to work on a collaborative basis
  • Should be able to arbitrate disagreements among team members and make decisions where needed without damaging relationships

Experience
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience
  • Proven Architecture background and should have architected atleast one project
  • Solid background and extensive experience in Java/J2EE, Application Servers, XML, Design Patterns, Frameworks lile Struts etc.
  • Experience in UML with Rational XDE or RSA, TogetherJ. Expert understanding of components 
  • Knowledge of various frameworks (Spring, Hibernate)
  • Should have hands on experience in implementing design patterns.
  • Experience in solving performance issues (code and query optimization)
  • Understanding of the Open Source and Standards environments a definitive plus.

Desirable
  • Experience in using performance and memory tuning tools (JProbe, OptimizeIt, etc)
  • Any Framework development experience
  • Retail domain experience
  • Hands on experience on IBM Tools (RAD, WAS, etc).

Responsible For
  • architecting and designing comprehensive solutions that meet client business requirements on high-impact projects
  • Providing technical direction regarding solution design and development 
  • Creating, refining, and implementing organizational design and development standards 
  • Developing, and implement a technical training roadmap for development staff 
  • Collaboration with other architects across the organization to develop best practices 
  • Foster high performing technical teams
  • Identify and recruit technical leaders into the organization 
  • Designs complex systems at the component level, and directly supervises the quality of designs and implementation inside and between components
  • Coaches, mentors, and delegates to engineers to facilitate their development.
